What to know
The 10 machines build on each other, starting with easier builds and moving to more advanced ones, so children learn each movement before linking machines together. Along the way, they see simple machines at work and learn cause and effect, as one action sets off the next and a small change can alter the result.
One honest limit is that bigger chain reactions need your own ordinary LEGO bricks beyond the kit, so the largest ideas will need bricks already at home. That limit is easy to plan around, and it also means the kit can grow with a collection children already enjoy.
Pros
- 10 machines from one book
- Teaches simple machines through play
- Pieces work with ordinary LEGO bricks
Cons
- Bigger chain reactions need your own ordinary LEGO bricks beyond the kit.
