What to know about this LEGO Creator 3in1 Mighty Dinosaurs
The appeal here is rebuild value rather than size. With 174 pieces, the set is compact enough for a first Creator 3-in-1 build, yet the three dinosaurs give it a longer life than a single-model set of the same piece count: finish one, take it apart, and start the next.
The T. rex carries the set. Its dark-green and beige colouring, bright orange eyes, posable joints and head, large claws and opening mouth with pointed teeth make it a good display piece as well as a play model, and the buildable rib cage adds a small scene to go with it.
The other two builds change the shape of play rather than just the colour. The Triceratops stands over 3 inches tall, while the Pterodactyl, at over 9 inches wide, is the broadest of the three and suits shelf display once built.
One thing to be clear about: only one dinosaur can be built at a time, so switching from the T. rex to the Triceratops or Pterodactyl means taking the first model apart. For a child who wants all three on display together, that is the main trade-off to weigh.
