What to know about this Crayola Ultra Clean Washable Markers 40 Count

The conical tip does two jobs: press down for a broad stroke that fills large areas quickly, or use the point for thin lines and dots, even tapering from thick to thin for a ribbon effect. It is a versatile tip for colouring books, posters and classroom art.

Washability is the point of the Ultra-Clean formula: Crayola says the ink washes from skin, most washable clothing and most painted walls. Note the word most — treat favourite clothes and delicate surfaces with care, as with any marker.

This is the classroom value pack, so it suits stocking up for school, group art sessions or a busy family art box. Pair it with construction paper (sold separately) for a ready-made gift bundle. The markers are safe and non-toxic, and Crayola rates them for ages 3 and over.

Pros

• 40 colours, from bold primary hues to subtle neutral shades, so big projects never run out of options
• Ultra-Clean washable ink that comes off skin, most washable clothing and most painted walls
• Conical broad tips colour large areas fast yet still draw thin lines, with Color Max ink that does not bleed through paper

Cons

• Broad line tips only, so fine detail and lettering need a separate fine-line set

Buy it if: you want a big, washable marker set for colouring, schoolwork and classroom art.

Skip it if: you mainly need fine detail or lettering, or you want a small travel set rather than a 40-count box.
